Take A Hike! - Literally!

Springtime in Santa Barbara motivates us to explore the great outdoors.

Try hiking one of the amazing trails in SB... while maintaining social distancing of course!

Then return home and build a fort in your living room to simulate a night of camping under the stars and try roasting marshmallows on the stovetop for a midnight treat. You can even hold a fun picnic in your living room with all the delicious fixings minus the flies.

Stovetop S'mores

Ingredients

  • Marshmallows (large or jumbo)

  • Milk/Dark chocolate bar

  • Graham crackers

  • Skewer

Directions

1. Break a full size graham cracker in half

2. Put a piece of chocolate bar on one of the graham cracker halves

3. Put a marshmallow on a skewer.

4. Turn a stovetop burner on low heat.

5. Slowly turn your marshmallow over the heat.

6. Brown marshmallow on all sides.

7. Put marshmallow (while it's still on the skewer) onto the chocolate piece on the graham cracker.

8. Use the other half of graham cracker to pull marshmallow off of the skewer.

9. Put other half of the graham cracker over the marshmallow to make a sandwich.

10. Give it a minute to rest and cool down then enjoy your s'more!
